Welcome to Danesmoor Eventing & Coaching
Sarah Gairdner (nee Millard) is an Advanced International event rider and the driving force behind Danesmoor Eventing. Horses have shaped Sarah's life and career, and that passion sits at the heart of the yard today. Through her riding, coaching and training, she works thoughtfully with each horse, developing their natural ability and confidence so they can progress and perform at their best.
At Danesmoor, the horse is aways placed first. Sarah's approach is centred on producing horses for the future, not just for today's results. Young horses are given the time they need to develop both mentally and physically, building confidence, strength and understanding so they can enjoy their work and progress successfully through the levels.
Each horse is managed as an individual. Some thrive living out, others prefer stable routines, and many benefit from a combination of both. Horses are supported by a collaborative team, with veterinary care on site and close working relationships with other professionals to ensure every horse receives the management and attention they need as an athlete.
The result is horses that are happy, confident and correctly educated, horses that enjoy their job and are prepared for long-term success.
Today, Danesmoor is a place where riders, owners and horses come together to train, compete and develop. Sarah is always interested in taking on new rides across a range of levels. For owners wishing to place a horse in a professional competition yard, or for those who would like to share in the experience of owning an event horse, there are a number of opportunities to become part of Danesmoor.
Alongside her competition programme, Sarah offers coaching, training and livery for riders who want consistent support and clear progression. Many riders train regularly with Sarah, developing their skills over time through thoughtful guidance, structured training and shared experience within the yard environment.
Whether you are developing a horse for competition, building your confidence as a rider, or becoming involved in event horse ownership, Danesmoor Eventing offers a professional and supportive environment where horses and riders can progress together.

The ethos at Danesmoor Eventing is to produce horses for the future, not just for today’s results. This allows younger horses to develop mentally as well as physically, which is vitally important to Sarah Gairdner, who works closely with her owners to ensure that the whole team is striving for the same goals on the same timeline. The result of allowing the horses to develop is that they are happy, healthy horses, who enjoy their job and are well educated and easy to compete.

Allen and Page feed trial worked for Chilli's Gem!
We were really pleased to be part of the trial for this fantastic feed. Sarah's 4* horse Chilli's Germ was one of the trial horses and ran several seasons on this feed which managed to not only keep her level headed but she put on muscle and looked really well on it. It's now a staple part of the feed room and the whole yard benefits from it.
