Chillis Gem
"Roo"

Picture
Owned by Helen Rothery, Christine Millard and Sarah Gairdner
15.3hh
2009
Sire: Chilli Morning
Dam: Kings Gem (Rock King)

Bred by the Stones and produced by Gemma Tattersall, Roo joined us at the end of 2020. The 2021 season was a fact finding year - there are no shortcuts when getting to know a new horse!  It is no secret that we had a lot of learning through experimentation in order to produce a dressage test with Roo - it was certainly a first not to complete a dressage test! We successfully completed the 2021 season with 2 advanced runs (including a 7th at Allerton Park) and a 4* short at Little Downham.
So far in 2022, she has completed Thoresby 4* short with a qualifying result, and was placed 14th in both the 3* long at Ballindenisk and 4* short at Bramham. Roo's 2022 year has more than fulfilled our hopes and expectations, culminating in a 3rd in the CCI-L4* at Ballindenisk.  Other 2022 results include:
Blair CCI-L4* 10th
Aston -le-Walls OI 5th
Bramham CCI-S4* 14th
Ballindenisk CCI-L3* 14th
We are looking forward to the 2023 season already!

Glenmora Harper
"Harper"

Picture
Owned by Tina Ure
16.2hh
2015
Sire: Obos Quality 004
Dam: Glenomra Lass

Harper joined us as a 4 year old and really was only just 15.3hh. We have given her plenty of time to grow and change shape: every time her front end caught up with her back end, she suddenly became bum-high again! She is really, in essence, a jumper but she’s brave as a lion and nothing phases her out on a cross country course. She is another of our horses that has successfully stepped up to Novice level this season and has been consistently jumping double clear, proving bold and capable.  We are looking forward to getting her out and about in the 2023 season.

G Star Musterd
"Musterd"

Picture
Owner by Sarah Gairdner
15.3hh
2011
Sire: Baloubet du Rouet
Dam: Zaigon M (Chin Chin)

Musterd's previous history is fairly sketchy and he joined us as a fairly quirky character. He is now very settled and content at Danesmoor and we are delighted with the way that he has relaxed into himself.  He has produced some good results since being with us; including wins both in eventing and show jumping - some great rounds at 1.30, in particular.  We will be focusing this capable boy on show jumping going forward, but you will still see him on the eventing circuit going forward.

Sire: Kings Master
Dam: The Roars of Her

Iona joined us as a 6 year old having hunted in Ireland. She has taken to eventing well proving to be consistent in all 3 phases. She had a very successful 2021 campaign but, sadly, at the beginning of 2022 she had a freak accident removing a lot of skin from her hind leg. Disappointingly, this means she has missed the 2022 Eventing season, but we have high hopes for the 2023 season.  She has healed well and is back in work, and will be competing in some affiliated dressage over the winter season.

Sire: Chilli Morning
Dam: Three Steps
Alice joined the team at the end of July 2022, having good run round the 1* at Blair; plus two top 10 placings in the 100cm at Little Downham and Swalcliffe with double clears.  We are very much looking forward to cementing the partnership over the Winter months and seeing how she progresses in the 2023 season.

Sire: Luidam
Dam: Kenlis Little IMP
Kenlis Lad made his eventing debut with Sarah in 2013 and has gone from BE100 to coming 11th in the CCI** at Ballindenisk  with a double clear in 2016. Unfortunately Kenny picked up an injury, but he is now show jumping, hunting and has taken one of Sarah's working pupils round a few events this year.

Sire: Domani Van den Overweg
Dam: Firefly

Pickle joined the yard in 2021 and had a very successful 90 & 100 campaign. This year he has succesfully stepped up to novice and has already gained an 8th placing in the 2*s at Ballindenisk. He is very uphill, eye catching and most certainly one to watch this season.
Pickle has now been sold and we look forward to seeing him out and about with his new owners.

Premier Prestige

Mare

Premier Prestige has been retired to stud having gained 42 BE points over the course of her career. Highlights include bringing home a 2nd at Aston-le-Walls at Intermediate; winning novice at Upton House. Pimms also qualified for the Elementary Regionals and competed at medium.  We have high hopes for her potential offspring.

Sire: Hold Up Premier

Delilah was brought as an unbacked 3-year-old.  Produced slowly, she was super consistent at a novice level and is now having fun with her new owner.

Primitive Flight

"Flea"

Sire: Primitive Proposal
Dam: Mayfly Ginger
He had 2 easy seasons as a 5 and 6 year old as he has been slow physically to mature. He has been placed in the CIC* at Rockingham Castle and Firle Place and was 4th in the CCI* at Aldon. He also clocked up several Intermediate placings. He's now gone home to his mum, who is enjoying hunting him.

Sire: Ain’t Life like that
Dam: Battle Annie
To date, Herbie has achieved 39 BE points, however he has now retired from eventing. He now enjoys hunting and being a nanny for the babies, as well as making a few appearances team chasing, which he thrives at.

Salvation

"Humpty"

Owned by Tina Ure
Gelding
16'3hh
2000
Sire: Matinee du Madon
Dam: Salutation
Humpty was bred by Tina Ure and in 2012 Sarah and Humpty set out together and achieved an amazing win at Barbury International. Humpty  is now seeing out his retirement in the boys field at Edgcote, happily hacking from time to time and eating.

Manado

"Cuddly"
Picture
Owned by Sarah Gairdner
Gelding
15'3hh
1997
Sire: Java Tiger
Dam: Ronnies Girl
Manado is sadly now retired but is Sarah's horse of a lifetime. He finished his career with 63 points having jumped clear around numerous advanced tracks including Burnham Market CIC3* & 9th in the CCI2* at Burgie.  He hunted as a reward for having to trot in circles and even enjoyed the odd team chase.

Future Stars

Hillside Affair

"Whoopsie"

Whoopsie is out of Chinnor Hilary, who's grandmother went around Badminton. He was an accident because no one realised his polo pony father hadn’t been gelded!! He hasn’t stopped growing and is big and gangly hence he’s been lightly backed and turned away for the winter.
Why Us?

At Danesmoor we produce horses for the future, not just for today's results.  We adopt a sympathetic approach to maximising each horse's ability.
